Projects Close to Culture

At Close to Culture we strive every day to go a little further, to create new projects where music and culture are instruments of well-being and social inclusion.

An "An orchestra morning" is the five-year evolution of working to bring music closer to the most vulnerable and at-risk-of-exclusion groups through the Close to Culture service. After the experience of working with social centers, it was decided to start this new project in which people with dementia and their carers, intellectual disability and people living with a mental disorder can actively participate in understanding and benefiting. I know the power of music.

Initiatives such as "An orchestra morning" are expanding thanks to the participation of Catalan orchestras throughout the territory, where more and more centers can enjoy their benefits every day.

An orchestra morning streaming or at your center
Due to the current circumstances, we wanted to adapt and continue to bring our activity to all centers. Hence the initiative to take the morning of the orchestra to where its users are, disseminating from Apropa Cultura to all residential services of the possibility of performing the session without making the trip.

Benefits of streaming activity or at your center:

  • Invigorate the center, fresh air, lift the mood, new activity.
  • Accompaniment: The Orchestra was present with them during the pandemic.
