Kingdom of Dreams (Ep 1 i 2)

This four-part series—two episodes of which will be shown at the festival—traces three particularly turbulent decades in the fashion industry, from the 1990s to 2010. The rivalry between Arnault and Pinault (what they called the Game of Thrones of fashion); the Faustian bargains of Galliano, Ford, McQueen, and Jacobs; beauty standards and the last gasps of a wasteful century. Cameos appear one after another: Stephen Jones, Lily Cole, Tim Blanks, Dana Thomas, and other insiders of the scene. The story begins in the last, hedonistic years of auteur-driven fashion—chaotic, independent, analog, and still carrying a touch of innocence.
