Programme
The El Cor Canta Foundation presents Mar de Mars, a symphonic choral performance dedicated to the Mediterranean. Àngels Gonyalons as Talassa, the goddess who personifies the sea, will guide us on this poetic and symbolic journey through this cradle-of-civilizations sea, a path of hope and, at the same time, a space of destruction and death. The poetic commission to Manuel Forcano, author of El mar a la mirada, shapes three pieces set to music by Feliu Gasull, Ferran Cruixent, and Anna Campmany: Mar de tots (Mabre), a mosaic of Mediterranean voices; Mare Nostra, a plea for forgiveness for the mistreatment of the sea; and Mare Mortuum, a denunciation of the migration drama.
