From Parisian haute couture to garment landfill: a young Japanese designer's talent for creating new life from what we throw away.

The Fédération de la Haute Couture in Paris is one of the most exclusive clubs in the world, and one to which any fashion designer would want to be invited. Yuima Nakazato is the only Japanese who is currently a member. This graduate of the Royal Academy of Antwerp - where he was taught by Linda Loppa, Dries van Noten, Walter Van Beirendonck and Ann Demeulemeester - is the protagonist of a reflexive and shocking film, in which a highly refined creator like Nakazato visits the rubbish landfills where clothes rot, rejected and forgotten. Nakazato wanted to get first-hand knowledge of this dark side, conveniently hidden from the eyes of the public: how do we use technology to transform the discarded into beauty?
