Inclusive Culture Manifesto

El Manifiesto de Cultura Inclusiva  was prepared by FEAPS Madrid in an open letter format to fight for the inclusion in the cultural sphere of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Although the text is from 2014, it is still in force today.

The manifesto explains the 3 pillars of inclusive culture where people with disabilities must be able to participate in culture in the following areas:

• As spectators. Access to the cultural programming of the cultural facilities, have comprehensible information and have accessible facilities.
• As creators. To be able to train as artists and have the means for creation, production and spaces for exhibition.
• As professionals in cultural facilities. To be able to train and have job opportunities in cultural spaces.
