Accessibility Day #NeverAlone 2021/22
Addressed to professionals in the cultural and social sector

"Never alone" conference. Culture and the elderly in a situation of isolation or dependency'

Last Monday, November 22, the Accessibility and Diversity Day Close to Culture 2021 took place.
This year it revolved around the Elderly in a situation of isolation or dependency and Museums. We went deeper into how culture and museums can accompany and help in a reality that has become a public health problem, loneliness.

At the conference we had the philosopher Begoña Román, who reflected from ethics on the Elderly and Pleasure, as well as the researcher and professor of psychology Montserrat Celdrán with whom we learned the main risk factors we encounter people as we grow older.

However, a first-person round table was organized to learn about the importance of culture throughout our lives and especially in the elderly. And finally, the activities, programs and good practices of museums and the elderly in Catalonia were presented.

These activities are aimed at professionals in cultural and social facilities. At each activity we will create a group of people to share experiences related to women and culture.
