She popularized the bikini, “invented” the selfie, and discovered Bettie Page. Designer and photographer Eleanor “Bunny” Yeager, who had also been a pin-up model in her youth, knew well what went on behind the camera and understood what was expected of young women. She therefore chose to do things her own way: with more playfulness than obscenity, with respect, by listening to the models’ opinions, and by creating the garments they wore herself. In the documentary, we hear from Bruce Weber, Dita Von Teese, and Larry King, who give Yeager the place she deserves as a key figure in the evolution of the image of women in the 1950s.
